Timanfaya National Park Volcanic Adventure: Because Regular Ground is Overrated

Forget sandy beaches and palm trees—Lanzarote is here to remind you that the Earth is a dramatic, lava-spewing masterpiece. Welcome to the Timanfaya National Park Volcanic Adventure, where the ground is so hot it can literally cook your lunch, and the landscape looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. If you and your group are up for an adventure that’s equal parts jaw-dropping and slightly terrifying, this is the experience for you.

The Experience: Walking on (Very Hot) History

Your trip into Lanzarote’s volcanic playground commences in Timanfaya. Also known as “the Earth occasionally throws temper tantrums.” This region was formed through massive eruptions in the 1700s which created a hellscape of geysers, barren craters, lava fields, and still active geysers.

With an expert guide in the front, all of your group will trek around rough formations, pause at places where the ground is too hot to comfortably touch, and witness geysers blasts of steam.

Finish your day at Jameos del Agua, a “paradise” created within a lava tunnel. Like we said earlier, Lanzarote doesn't just stop at cool, it goes all the way to "wait, how is this even real?"

Reasons Why Your Group Will Love Timanfaya National Park Volcanic Adventure

  • Get to walk on a volcano without actually melting. (That’s always a plus.)

  • Get to see how water vigorously explodes into steam; dramatic effect by nature.

  • Experience another planet without the long, tedious travel of space.

If your group is looking for a you 'won’t believe what we just did type of adventure', then Lanzarote’s Volcanic Trek & Exploration is calling.
