Cathay Pacific Adds Hong Kong - Munich Route

Cathay Pacific Adds Hong Kong - Munich Route
Good news for anyone who’s ever sat in Hong Kong thinking, “You know what this city needs? Easier access to Bavarian beer gardens.” Well, Cathay Pacific heard you.
As of June 16, they’ve launched their first-ever direct flights from Hong Kong to Munich - bringing schnitzels and steins just one comfy Airbus A350-900 flight away. The new route flies four times a week, giving you plenty of chances to pop over for Oktoberfest, Christmas markets, or just a cheeky long weekend of beer and bratwurst.

Europe expansion: full speed ahead
Munich isn’t Cathay’s only new European fling this summer. Just earlier this month (June 5), they kicked off direct flights to Rome — because who doesn’t want gelato on speed dial? And come August 3, Brussels is back too. Waffles, anyone?
Altogether, Cathay Pacific is now clocking nearly 100 return flights a week across 12 European cities this summer. And if that wasn’t enough, add in sister airline HK Express (who’s also been busy plotting new routes), and the Cathay Group is on track to serve 100 destinations globally in 2025 — with 18 shiny new routes added this year alone.
More flights, more fun — and more Hong Kong on the map
Of course, this isn’t just about sightseeing and snacking (although we fully support both). More routes mean Hong Kong continues to flex as one of the world’s top aviation hubs — making it easier for travellers, businesses, and, yes, foodies to hop between Europe and Asia.
In short:
If you’ve been dreaming of swapping dim sum for dumplings, skyscrapers for steins, or a harbour cruise for a Bavarian castle... Cathay Pacific just made it a whole lot easier.
So grab your boarding pass — and maybe a pair of lederhosen while you’re at it. Prost!
