Wizz Air Adds 16 New Italy Routes
Wizz Air clearly had a big plate of spaghetti and decided, “Yep, let’s expand.” The Hungarian low-cost carrier just announced a whopping 16 new international routes from Venice, Milan Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino, and Pescara, giving Italian travelers more ways to hop around Europe than ever before.
And because Venice is about to get very busy, they’re parking a third Airbus A321neo there—think of it as moving in an extra roommate, but one that brings snacks and cheap flights.

Venice: The Overachiever
Seven new destinations are joining the Venice lineup:
- Bordeaux – For wine lovers who think prosecco just isn’t enough.
- Larnaca – Sun, beaches, and a very good reason to pack sunscreen.
- Tallinn – Fairytale old town meets Nordic cool.
- Kutaisi – For anyone curious about Georgia (the country, not the peaches).
- London Luton – A gateway to the UK and its questionable weather.
- Valencia – Beaches, paella, and futuristic architecture.
- Tel Aviv – Mediterranean vibes with a nightlife that never sleeps.
Milan Malpensa: Five New Excuses to Leave the City
Milan’s getting new links to:
- Alicante – Coastal Spain at its best.
- Brașov – Transylvanian charm without the vampire clichés (probably).
- Cluj-Napoca – One of Romania’s coolest cities.
- Glasgow – Kilts, whisky, and surprisingly friendly weather (sometimes).
- Seville – Flamenco, tapas, and endless sunshine.
Rome & Pescara Join the Party
Rome Fiumicino will soon be flying to Brașov, Bordeaux, and Glasgow, while Pescara gets a new route to Iași, opening up another corner of Romania to Italian travelers.
The Bigger Picture
This expansion is part of Wizz Air’s whopping €14 billion ‘Customer First Compass’ plan—a fancy name for “more flights, better service, and aircraft that don’t guzzle fuel like it’s 1999.” Italy remains Wizz Air’s biggest market by passenger numbers, and they’re clearly determined to keep it that way.
With all these new routes, you could basically spend the entire year jetting between Italy and the rest of Europe, collecting boarding passes like they’re Pokémon cards. And with Wizz’s modern, low-emission A321neo fleet, you can feel slightly less guilty about all those weekend getaways.
