TUI adds Sweden and Norway to Schedule
Belgians, put down the raclette forks and dig out your woolliest socks - TUI has decided it’s time to swap Alpine clichés for proper Nordic snow. Starting 20 December 2025, TUI fly Belgium is launching a brand-new weekly flight from Brussels to Scandinavian Mountains Airport (yes, that’s its real name), sitting snugly on the border of Sweden and Norway. Flights run until 21 March 2026, giving you a neat three-month window to practice the art of skiing… or at least perfect the art of tumbling gracefully.
Three Resorts, One Airport, Zero Drama
Forget those endless bus transfers that turn your holiday into a patience endurance test. From this airport, you’re practically within snowball distance of three ski resorts:
- Trysil, Norway – the country’s biggest ski area and basically Disneyland, if Mickey Mouse swapped ears for a woolly hat.
- Stöten, Sweden – chilled-out slopes with actual peace and quiet. Families love it. Introverts too.
- Sälen, Sweden – cozy, charming, and about as hygge as skiing gets.
With over 20 accommodation options, from ski-in/ski-out chalets to hotels where you don’t have to shuffle around in ski boots, there’s something for everyone—hardcore skiers, après-ski loungers, and those who think “snow angels” count as winter sports.

Beyond the Slopes: Nordic Extras
Sure, skiing’s the main event. But Scandinavia loves an activity menu:
- Husky sledding – shout “mush!” and live your Arctic explorer fantasy.
- Reindeer rides – because Santa’s crew deserve attention all year.
- Snowmobiles – fast, loud, and great if you’ve got a need for speed.
- Christmas vibes – fairy lights, snowy forests, and the feeling you’ve walked into a Netflix holiday movie.
Even if you skip skiing, your Instagram feed will scream “snow-globe aesthetic.”
Snow That Actually Shows Up
Let’s be honest—the Alps are great, but lately booking there is like betting on a roulette wheel. Powder or puddles? Scandinavia, on the other hand, delivers real, reliable snow from December to April. And without the Alpine chaos, you won’t be battling a thousand people for the same ski lift.
TUI’s Pitch
So this winter, why queue in the Alps when you could glide (or stumble) through Scandinavia? Pack your woolly hat, book that flight, and prepare to return home humming ABBA, craving cinnamon buns, and declaring husky sledding an Olympic sport.
