British Airways Boosts Middle East Connections to London in 2026
Pack your trench coats and practice your best “cheers, mate,” because British Airways is about to make travel to London even easier (and far more tempting) for Middle Eastern travelers. Starting October 2025, the airline is giving its Gulf network a serious glow-up — with more flights, extra seats, and daily departures from several key cities. And yes, it’s all perfectly timed for those who fancy trading sunshine for drizzle and a proper cuppa.
Daily Departures and Extra Seats Galore
From Bahrain, British Airways is turning up the throttle with daily flights beginning 27 October 2025, adding over 9,000 extra seats each year. That’s a lot of travelers, a lot of luggage, and — let’s face it — a lot of duty-free chocolate heading to Heathrow.
Meanwhile in Saudi Arabia, the airline is upping the ante with even more flights. Riyadh jumps to 12 weekly flights this winter, then 14 by summer 2026. Not to be left behind, Jeddah gets a bump to five weekly flights, giving travelers more chances to swap the desert sun for British rain (and the promise of a full English breakfast).

Abu Dhabi Joins the Daily Club
Next up, Abu Dhabi — where British Airways will introduce a new daily nonstop service starting winter 2025. Perfect for travelers who appreciate a direct route, seamless connections, and a cup of tea that arrives without turbulence. With these expanded services, British Airways is clearly serious about making London the ultimate stopover or destination of choice for Gulf travelers.
One Stop to Everywhere
Of course, this expansion isn’t just about getting to London — it’s about where you can go from there. With connections to over 200 destinations worldwide through Heathrow, you can hop from Bahrain, Riyadh, Jeddah, or Abu Dhabi straight to London and then on to anywhere your heart (or business) desires — from New York’s skyscrapers to Parisian cafés to the beaches of the Caribbean.
Time to Plan That London Trip
British Airways says the boost is all about meeting rising regional demand, but really, who doesn’t love an excuse to visit London? Whether it’s the theatre, the shopping, or your secret dream of bumping into a royal, the city never disappoints.
Start planning your next great British adventure. Just remember to pack both your umbrella and your sense of humor.
