Brussels Airlines Announces New Flights to Kilimanjaro Tanzania

Brussels Airlines Announces New Flights to Kilimanjaro Tanzania

Get ready to swap your Belgian waffles for safari hats — Brussels Airlines is setting its sights on Kilimanjaro, Tanzania! Starting June 3rd, 2026, the airline will launch two weekly flights (every Wednesday and Saturday) from Brussels to the gateway of Africa’s tallest mountain. That’s right — from cobblestone streets to the clouds of Kilimanjaro in one smooth takeoff.

The Plane, the Seats, the Glory

The new route will be operated on a shiny Airbus A330-300, which has room for 288 adventurers spread across Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.

If you’re flying Business, expect to sip champagne while planning which mountain selfies will make your coworkers jealous. In Premium Economy, you get extra space to stretch before your inevitable “I might climb a mountain” announcement. And Economy? Don’t worry — the views are free, and honestly, they’re better than anything on Netflix.

“Africa Feels Like Home,” Says the Airline Boss

According to Brussels Airlines CEO Dorothea von Boxberg, the move is close to the company’s heart:

“Sub-Saharan Africa is our second home, and we’re delighted to expand our presence on this magnificent continent.”

Translation: Brussels Airlines really loves Africa — and now, they’re making it easier for everyone else to fall in love too. Plus, it’s another great excuse to spread Belgian charm (and possibly a few chocolates) across the world.

Adventure Starts Where the Flight Ends

Kilimanjaro isn’t just a mountain; it’s a mood. It’s also your perfect starting point for bucket-list adventures — from conquering Mount Kilimanjaro itself (no pressure!) to going full “National Geographic” in the Serengeti National Park or marveling at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’ll make your camera beg for mercy.

Basically, if you’ve ever dreamed of a holiday where your biggest decision is “safari first or summit later,” this is your flight.

Brussels Airlines: Africa Experts, Mountain Edition

With Kilimanjaro joining the lineup, Brussels Airlines now flies to 18 destinations in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Entebbe, Kigali, Bujumbura, Nairobi, and now Kilimanjaro.

So buckle up, pack your sense of adventure (and maybe some mosquito spray), and prepare for the ultimate high — literally.
