British Airways Adds Three New Routes for Summer 2026

British Airways Adds Three New Routes for Summer 2026 — Get Your Sunglasses Ready

If your 2026 summer plans already involve escaping the British “sun” (a.k.a. that one warm Tuesday in June), British Airways has just delivered some excellent news: the airline is dropping three brand-new leisure routes into its network like holiday confetti.

Say hello to Toulon Saint-Tropez, Olbia, and San Sebastián — or as travellers know them:
“the French Riviera without the traffic,” “Sardinia but classy,” and “the Basque city that turns you into a full-time foodie.”

The new flights are officially bookable, bringing British Airways' European playground to nearly 30 destinations. In other words, your summer excuse list just got longer.

‘Three fantastic new routes’ (BA’s words, not ours — but they’re not wrong)

Managing Director Ian Romanis says the airline is thrilled to expand the network with “three fantastic new routes.” And honestly? He’s got a point. Whether you want beaches, bouillabaisse, or Basque pintxos, there’s something for your inner holiday snob.

Let’s break down the new sunshine escapes:

London City → Toulon Saint-Tropez

23 May – 1 September 2026 | Tuesdays & Saturdays | From £127 one way
British Airways is whisking travellers from the ultra-speedy London City Airport (where you can get from kerb to gate in 15 minutes — basically teleporting) straight to the closest airport to Saint-Tropez.
Great news for anyone who wants Riviera glamour without sitting in a four-hour car queue surrounded by yachts… and people who talk about yachts.

London Stansted → Olbia (Sardinia)

23 May – 27 September 2026 | Saturdays & Sundays | From £127 one way
Stansted join the Sardinia party! Olbia’s beaches are calling, and apparently half of Europe has already picked up — Sardinia saw a 38% jump in overnight stays in 2024.
Translation: book early unless you enjoy paying €9 for an espresso.

Glasgow → San Sebastián (Spain)

18 July – 8 September 2026 | Tuesdays & Saturdays | From £113 one way
Finally, a direct Glasgow–San Sebastián link! Expect sunshine, surf vibes, and a dangerous amount of pintxos. If you come home with any self-control intact… congratulations, you’re stronger than the rest of us.

Onboard Perks

All flights come with Club Europe options — meaning priority services, extra baggage, upgraded meals, and a bar that doesn’t judge your holiday mood.
