LEVEL announces nonstop Barcelona–Lima service
For years, getting from Barcelona to Lima has involved a familiar routine: a connection, a sprint through a transfer airport, and at least one moment of “why am I still not there?”
Well, good news. LEVEL has decided to remove the middle-man.
From June 2026, the airline will launch its first-ever nonstop flight between Barcelona and Lima, officially ending the era of unnecessary layovers and mystery airport sandwiches.
And honestly? It’s about time.
One Flight, Zero Detours, Maximum Pisco Sour Potential
Starting 3rd June 2026, LEVEL will operate the route three times a week, flying straight across the Atlantic with no pit stops, no terminal hopping, and no awkward re-boarding announcements.
Barcelona to Lima, in one go.
No changing planes.
No wondering whether your luggage is having a longer holiday than you are.
This also makes LEVEL the only airline offering a direct connection between the two cities — which is airline-speak for “we saw a gap on the map and claimed it.”
If you need help with your next event, incentive, meeting, conference or group to Peru, please
The Aircraft: Big, Comfortable, and Ready for a Very Long Siesta
The route will be operated using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, which means:
- A Premium Economy cabin for those who like legroom and a little dignity
- Regular Economy for those who are very good at packing neck pillows
- Seatback entertainment, so you can watch three movies, fall asleep halfway through the fourth, and still not be bored
- Wi-Fi messaging, so you can casually inform everyone you know that you’re “on a direct flight to Peru” (important)
Barcelona In, Lima Out… and Plenty More Beyond
Once you land in Lima, you’re not exactly stuck there (unless you want to be, which is understandable). The city offers onward connections to around 17 destinations across Peru, making it an ideal gateway to everything from historic cities to jungle adventures.
On the Barcelona side, the route plugs neatly into LEVEL’s and Vueling’s broader network, opening up dozens of European connections — perfect for travellers stitching together a very impressive itinerary.
Why This Route Actually Makes Sense
Beyond the excitement of a new pin on the route map, this flight ticks all the boxes:
- Strong tourism demand
- Solid business and VFR traffic
- A growing appetite for direct long-haul routes from Barcelona
In short: people want it, and LEVEL is delivering it — preferably without a layover in the middle of nowhere.
The Bottom Line
If you’ve ever looked at a Barcelona–Lima itinerary and sighed at the connection, June 2026 is your moment.
One plane.
One flight.
Two incredible cities.
And zero reasons to miss your connection ever again.
