What are the rules of Soccer?

Soccer is known as football when you are not in the USA. Soccer is played in all countries and is the most popular sport  in the world.

Soccer is a team sport played by a team of 11 players against another team of 11 players on a field.

A soccer game consists of 2 teams playing two 45-minute halves, with “stoppage time” added on at the end of each half. Each team can have 11 players on the field at one time.  One of those players is the goalkeeper

A team is typically split into defenders, midfielders and forwards, though there is no restriction on players moving anywhere on the pitch.
