Ho Chi Minh City is incredibly vibrant. The city hosts a variety of events and they're often steeped in cultural significance or historical commemorations.

These events are always lively, adorned with colorful decorations, and filled with music and dance performances. Street parades and dragon boat races play a central role in many of the celebrations.

The Lunar New Year, or Tết, remains the largest and most significant festival in Ho Chi Minh City, drawing locals and tourists alike to join in the festivities.

All Souls' Day

All Souls' Day is observed in various places across Europe, including London. This day is dedicated to remembering the deceased, where people visit churches and cemeteries to honor their ancestors and loved ones.

During this period, it is customary to attend church services, light candles, and lay flowers on the graves of the deceased.

In London, All Souls' Day is observed on the 2nd of November. The day before, many people attend church services and prepare by placing flowers and candles on graves. This is a time for reflection and remembrance, rather than the more elaborate rituals seen in some cultures.

Lim Festival

To celebrate Spring, the Lim Festivalis held on the 12th or the 13th of February.
Celebrated in Bac Ninh, it is a huge 3-day celebration of ethnic Vietnamese culture. It is famous for Quan ho, a distinct form of folk singing recognized by UNESCO

Ghost Festival or Wandering Souls Day

Ghost Month is celebrated in various countries across Asia like Vietnam, Japjan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

During this month it is customary to honour your  ancestors, perform rituals, and pay respects to wandering spirits believed to roam the earth.

The Vietnamese believe that on one day in late August or early September, the spirits of ancestors return to visit their earthly homes.

The night before Wandering Souls Day, prayers, flowers and fruits are offered at the graves of the ancestors. Paper money and clothes are burned for spirits to use in the afterlife. 

The Ghost Festival around the 18th of August, can also be in  September
