Wizz Air Adds Zadar to Summer Line-Up

Wizz Air Adds Zadar to Warsaw’s Summer Line-Up

If your idea of a proper summer involves crystal-clear water, old stone streets and seafood that tastes suspiciously better by the sea, Wizz Air has something new for you.

The airline is launching a direct seasonal service from Warsaw Chopin Airport to Zadar, bringing a slice of Croatia’s Dalmatian coast to its Summer 2026 network. And yes — it’s the first time Zadar joins the Wizz map.

Flights begin on 9th June 2026 and will run four times a week: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. In other words, perfectly timed for everything from a spontaneous midweek escape to a carefully planned long weekend where you pretend you “just needed a short break.”

A Smart Move for Summer

This isn’t a random pin on the map. Zadar strengthens Wizz Air’s leisure offering from Warsaw at a time when demand for direct Mediterranean routes shows no signs of slowing down. When the sun comes out, people want options — preferably nonstop ones.

The route will be operated by the Airbus A321neo, the airline’s newer-generation narrowbody aircraft. It’s more fuel-efficient and emits less CO₂, which fits neatly into Wizz Air’s ongoing fleet modernisation strategy. Translation: newer planes, lower fuel burn, and a quieter ride.

For Wizz Air, Poland remains a core growth market. Adding Zadar underlines that focus while expanding its reach further along the Adriatic.

Warsaw: A Key Hub for Wizz

The numbers tell the story. Wizz Air operated over 26,000 flights from Warsaw Chopin in 2025, transporting almost six million passengers. It also enhanced its on-time performance in the city by almost 14% year-on-year — something that frequent flyers will welcome.

The airline connects 12 airports and has six operational bases in Poland with more than 30 countries, operating 235 routes across its network. In 2026, 43 aircraft will be located in the country. Holding 26% of the market, Wizz Air is Poland’s second-largest carrier and will have over 20 million seats for sale this year.

Why Zadar Works

A blend of Roman and Venetian heritage, Zadar has a laid-back coastal vibe that seems custom-made for summer. Its waterfront features the Sea Organ — a sound installation that makes music from the movement of the waves — and the illuminated “Greeting to the Sun.” The city also is a gateway to nearby islands, Adriatic beaches and several national parks.

It’s the type of place that functions equally well as a speedy city break or longer-term holiday focused on sunshine and lingering evenings.

For those who visit Warsaw however, the new service means just one thing: yet another easy and cheap route to the Adriatic for summer 2026. And that’s the kind of expansion people can get behind.
