Saudi Arabia Launched a Hotline for Visa Queries

Saudi Arabia Launched a Hotline for Visa Queries - and It's Actually Useful
Visa issues have a habit of showing up at the worst possible moment. A delayed connection, a schedule that shifted, plans that changed — suddenly your dates don't line up and you're not entirely sure what to do next. Saudi Arabia's Passports Directorate has launched a dedicated hotline for exactly these situations, giving travellers, residents, and expats a direct number to call when visa questions come up.
It's a small thing on paper. In practice, having a real point of contact makes a noticeable difference.
What It Covers
The hotline is set up to handle queries around expired visas — so that's tourists who need clarity on their situation, expats dealing with renewals, business travellers who need a quick answer without digging through government portals. The Directorate will walk callers through their options and next steps, whatever those happen to be.
Saudi Arabia has been pulling in more international visitors year on year — leisure travellers, business trips, pilgrims during Hajj and Umrah — and the infrastructure around entry and stay has been keeping pace. This is part of that same effort.

The Bigger Context
The hotline fits into something Saudi Arabia has been building toward for a while now. Vision 2030 put tourism firmly on the agenda, and the years since have seen real changes — more accessible visas, improved airport processes, a genuine push to make the country easier to visit and easier to navigate once you're there.
A dedicated support line for visa queries is, in that context, a logical next step. Less friction, clearer guidance, fewer situations where travellers are left guessing.
