El Al Is Launching Direct Tel Aviv to Buenos Aires Flights

El Al Is Launching Direct Tel Aviv to Buenos Aires Flights… and Yes, It’s a 16-Hour Decision
Just when you get used to seeing the same flight paths, El Al Israel Airlines likes to shake things up. From November/December, El Al will be taking direct, bi-weekly flights to Buenos Aires from Tel Aviv. The route will be quite lengthy, probably enough to qualify it as an almost life-changing flight.
And just so you know, yes, you will have enough time to deviate from watching an entire trilogy to catching some sleep, to deep life reflection, and to nothing at all because you still won't be there yet.
The Longest Flight in El Al’s History (Bring Snacks. Lots of Snacks.)
This isn’t just another long-haul route — it’s the airline’s longest ever, clocking in at around 15.5 to 16.5 hours nonstop.
The flights will be operated by the sleek and slightly smug Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, an aircraft basically designed to whisper, “Don’t worry, I’ve got this,” while you question how many episodes of your downloaded series is too many.
Two flights per week will connect Tel Aviv (TLV) and Buenos Aires (EZE), linking Israel and Argentina in one uninterrupted leap across continents, oceans, and your patience levels.

Tickets Coming Soon (May 2026 — Set Your Calendar Alarm Now)
If this route has already triggered your inner travel planner, good news: ticket sales are expected to open in May 2026.
Bad news? You now have approximately 7 months of waiting while imagining how you’ll casually tell people:
“Oh me? I just fly direct to South America now.”
Also worth noting — the route is expected to be subsidised by the Israeli government, which is aviation-speak for: “We really, really want this connection to happen.”
Tel Aviv Meets Buenos Aires: A Cultural Long-Distance Relationship
On one end, you’ve got Tel Aviv, a city that runs on innovation, beach sunsets, and strong coffee energy.
On the other, Buenos Aires, where late-night dinners are a lifestyle, tango isn’t optional, and “just one more glass of Malbec” is never actually just one.
Put together, it’s less a flight route and more a cultural handshake across hemispheres.

Who Is This Flight Really For?
Let’s be honest:
- Business travellers who forgot what “quick trip” means
- Families with very committed visiting plans
- And travellers who genuinely believe jet lag is a personality trait they can handle
But also — anyone who’s ever looked at a map and thought, “Yeah, I could do that in one go.”
Now you can.
Final Boarding Call
El Al Is Launching Direct Tel Aviv to Buenos Aires Flights....
It’s bold. It’s long. It’s slightly ridiculous in the best possible way.
But most importantly, it’s direct — and in aviation, that’s basically a love language.
