Day 2-3: These days are dedicated to the exploration of Amman's historical and cultural gems. Al-Balad is the downtown area of Jordan's capital city, Amman. It is also the oldest part of the city and dates back thousands of years. Did you know that It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world? Amman was built over ancient ruins and archeologists think that in ancient times it was right near to the now mostly-dry Amman River.
In 1994 there was an excavation project, during which homes and towers were uncovered, believed to have been built around 7000 BC, during the Stone Age. New archaeological excavations are ongoing in 2020.
There are a large number of historical sites in old Amman: Amman Citadel with the Umayyad Palace, the Hashemite Plaza with the Roman Theatre and the Odeon, and the Roman Nymphaeum.

Flynas, Saudi Arabia’s premier budget airline and a leading global low-cost carrier, has unveiled its latest milestone: a new direct service connecting Berlin with Jeddah, starting 4th September 2024.

- Strategic Alliance:This introduction is part of a strategic alliance with the Saudi Air Connectivity Program (ACP), coinciding with Flynas’ participation at the ITB Berlin trade show.
- Route Details: Scheduled to start on September 4, 2024, the Berlin-Jeddah flight route will operate three times weekly, linking King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) in Jeddah with Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER).
- Strategic Alignment:This expansion aligns with the objectives of the Saudi National Aviation Strategy, aiming to handle 330 million passengers and attract 150 million visitors by 2030. It supports Flynas’ mission to “We Connect the World to the Kingdom” and the Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of enhancing air connectivity.
- Leadership Statements: Bander Almohanna, CEO and Managing Director of Flynas, highlighted the significance of incorporating Berlin into their international network, underscoring Flynas’ growing presence in Europe.
