Russian Rhapsody - sustainable tourism in Russia

Our Commitment

Our events take place with the highest level of safety.

We conscious of our natural resources and management of waste created.

We produce our events with the highest level of safety.

We aim to leave a lasting impression throughout the supply chain and event attendees through our commitment to sustainability.

We support human rights and ensure we are not complicit in abuses, including forced child labour. This is supported in our choices made when sorcing our product and suppliers.

We acknowledge we have limited influence over third parties whose events we may attend but do not organise directly, such as trade shows where we exhibit. While we cannot control the decisions of these parties, we commit to educate them of our policy.

As we design our own unique experiences, execute events and evaluate our success we are able to choose every day how our actions and words make a difference and build a better quality of life, be it in a big or small way for our employees, clients, event attendees and suppliers.

At Russian Rhapsody, we are fully committed to sustainability.

Russia is the largest country in the world, covering more than one-eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area. So it is in everyone's interest to see that its lawmakers deliver sound policies when it comes to environmental sustainability.

For instance, during the FIFA world cup, a waste management concept was put in place. Tailor-made waste collection and recycling processes at all official sites and events were organised– along with the communication tools to inform and motivate spectators to dispose of their waste accordingly.

Already in July 2015, recycling was fully incorporated into the operations of the preliminary draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ in St Petersburg. Across the various venues for the draw, recyclable waste was collected, including paper, cardboard, cans, PET and glass.

In addition, more than three tonnes of decorations were reused for civic events, and 200 children attended a lecture encouraging the younger generation to take a responsible attitude towards nature and the environment.

We do face a challenge in Russia, but are trying our very best to think up sustainable alternatives, ideas and programs for our guests.
