The Cricket World Cup 2024 is set to be played from June 3-12 in the Nassau Country International Cricket Stadium. The Nassau stadium is located in the Glen Cove New York.

The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be the 9th edition of the T20 World Cup. It takes place every other year and is organised by the International Cricket Council. It is scheduled to be co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States from 1 June to 29 June 2024.

It is also the first World Cup tournament where matches will be played in the United States.

Three venues in United States have been confirmedwhich included Lauderhill (Central Broward Park), Dallas (Grand Prairie Stadium) and New York (Nassau County Stadium) for the World Cup.

In New York, a temporary stadium will be built specially for 34000 visitors. Quite amazing, right?  In addition the existing stadiums in Fort Lauderdale and Dallas will be doubled in size. 

Also six venues in the Caribbean Islands of Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, St Lucia, St Vincent & The Grenadines  will host matches.

Defending champions are the UK cricket team. They defeated Pakistan in the finals.  After the group stage in the tournament, the top two teams in each group will be placed into two groups of four teams in the Super 8 stage.

How the Cricket World Cup will be played:

Consisting of twenty teams, (4 more than in 2022), it is also the first time  that Canada, Uganda, and the United States have qualified for the T20 World Cup.
