Ganesh Chaturthi
One of the most significant celebrations for Mumbaikars is the festival of Lord Ganesha. Thousands of Labourers set up statues of Lord Ganesha in every neighbourhood and for days, communities celebrate, and music and dance fill the streets. After many days, communities immerse the statues in the Arabia Sea, and many of the streets descend into a frenzy of excitement as this is the climax of their celebrations. Numerous processions are a tribute to the statues and the communities dance with excited joy as the festival comes to an end.
