Sicca Jazz 2026

Sicca Jazz 2026 - A Melodic Escape in Tunisia

Dates: 30th April - 3rd May 2026

You may have thought that jazz was best experienced in smokey bar with dodgy lighting, but think again. Sicca Jazz 2026 bringing the smooth grooves of saxophones, trumpets and double bass on a road show to none other than Kef, Tunisia — where Roman ruins meets thriving culture and your playlist gets an overdue makeover. This is no mere festival; it’s a full-blown cultural escapade, draped in music, history and heaping spoonfuls of couscous.

Kef The Star of the Show (After the Music, of Course)

Credit where credit is due: Kef knows how to stage a scene. With its ancient Roman ruins, the views of the fortress and meandering old streets, it seems like history itself is jamming to the band here. One minute there you are watching a jazz quartet riffing under the stars, the next you’re scaling up to the Kasbah of Kef for panoramas that make you want to write poetry — or at least share an extremely dramatic Instagram caption.

And if you’re somebody who doesn’t mind a museum, the Dar Hassine Allani Museum is ready with centuries of tales within an exquisitely restored mansion. Simply put, Kef has more personality than half the bands on Spotify.

A Lineup That Sticks to the Script

The organizers aren’t playing around. Sicca Jazz 2026 will feature a combination of jazz legends, contemporary stars and up-and-comers who are most likely practicing their solos as we speak. The lineup is famously eclectic: one moment it’s slick traditional tunes, the next you are listening to experimental jazz and wondering if your ears have just learned a new language.

If previous years are any indication, you can look forward to a lineup of dream concerts that’ll have you clapping your hands and swaying your hips, and who knows — perhaps snapping your fingers as though in a French art flick.

More Than Just Music

Yes, you’ll go for the jazz, but Kef has so much more than that to offer. Looking for nature? The local forest, Ain Draham, is ideal for hikes and clean air to counter all that late-night music. Hungry? Say no more. Local food is simply a headliner on its own. A new morning brings brik (fried pastries filled with egg and tuna) to endless riffing on couscous, a musical re-creation of flavor as intense as the wail of a trumpet solo at midnight. Wash it down with local sweets and mint tea, and you’ll see why no one leaves Kef hungry.

Where to Stay (and Sleep Off the Jazz High)

From cozy guesthouses bursting with charm to super-modern hotels checking all the boxes, Kef has products for just about every preference and budget to crash in after a day of culture taking. Want the authentic experience? Stay in a traditional guesthouse, where you will be likely to find yourself discussing jazz as well as your hosts’ grandma’s couscous recipe.

Getting There

It’s simpler than you might expect: fly into Tunis-Carthage International Airport, then make the scenic drive (or bus trip) to Kef. Another option is to rent a car if you prefer the freedom of being able to stop for photos, snacks or spontaneous camel sightings along the way.

Why You Shouldn’t Miss It

Sicca Jazz 2026 is not just a festival, it’s an experience. It’s where Tunisian hospitality also intersects with world-class music, history and taste. You could say it’s the kind of thing you’ll come for the jazz and leave raving about the city, or the food, or just its vibe. Whether you’re a jazzbo through and through or simply someone whose soul has the itch for a beat with a view, Kef is going to win your heart (and make you want to dance).

So pack your bags and mark the dates, because when jazz meets Roman ruins, you know it’ll be something to remember.
