Entertainment That’s Anything But Flat

A spectactular multimedia fireworks display takes place just after the nightly cannon fire, and live music includes not only brass bands but fire artists, jugglers and stilt walkers roaming along daily programs of Medieval tunes that will have you tapping your boots (or whatever part of you has so far remained stationary). Little ones can take part in hands-on workshops including candle making and pottery, while grown-ups can learn to be a Robin Hood at an archery or catapult station. Yes, catapults. It is as fun as it sounds.

The showstopper? The torchlight walk up to Esslingen Castle. Imagine it: hundreds of lit torches, the night sky, the castle on the horizon and you – most likely also with a slight grin! A magical photo spot it is, and the lovely term “lighting up the holidays” takes on a whole new meaning.
