A Festival That Leverages the Entire City
One of the many things making Malta genuinely one of a kind is the fact that the action moves beyond the ticketed venue. Most of the festival is free of bounds, starting the city and making Paris, and finally Poznań one of the best places to go. Aerial feats, stunning performances, and end of the budget community, free, and everything to just festival like.
With Polish premieres of groundbreaking European productions and avant-garde experimental performances, Malta remains at the forefront of theatre art. Most of the time, it is called the most theatrical of music festivals and most musical of theatre festivals. It may sound ridiculous but it is true.
A Theme Built Around Love, Community, and Big Feelings
The overall theme of the 2026 edition is love. It will celebrate unity, inclusion, and afffective art. Dominika Kulczyk has patroned the festival and it has been very supportive of the new wave of female artists, social activism, and cultural opening in a very genuine meaningful way.
Previous editions had over 38,000 participants and over 500 artists, which is very impressive. It never feels out of place because it is hosted in Poznań, a city that wears a festival beautifully.
