Vienna Comic Con 2027
Dates taking place: November 2027 (exact dates to be confirmed)
Location: Vienna, Austria
Haven't you felt the magic that is Comic Con, if you have been to a queue near a 6 foot Darth Vader and an author/actor/artist photo buyer? If you have not, then Vienna is here to change your life. Vienna Comic Con 2027 returns to Messe Wien, and honestly, it is the kind of event that makes you feel bad about every weekend spent in your PJ’s watching TV.
What Vienna Comic Con is all about?
If you are new to the Vienna Comic Con, then it is simply a love letter to the pop culture as all the attendees get excited about and celebrate their fandom about. Different genres such as comics, manga, gaming, anime, sci fi, fantasy, film and of course a wide variety of over the top costumes.
Vienna Comic Con 2027 is being held at Messe Wien, Vienna’s main exhibition center, and it is really good that the organizers chose a venue that is just a subway ride away because no one enjoys the hassle of driving and parking in downtown areas of major European cities. Each year, 10s of thousands of fans come to enjoy themselves and the energy at the event is overwhelming.

Live Interviews and Celebrity Guests
The star guest lineup is one of the main attractions year after year. Some of the most loved franchises have featured guests such as actors and creators from the Games of Throne, Star Trek, and Lord of the Rings. You can participate in live panel interviews at the main stage, get an autograph, or wait in line for a photo with someone whose poster is most likely taped on your childhood bedroom wall. Interviews on stage are one of the best parts as they are hilarious, and candid, and they can be totally chaotic in the best way.
Chaos, Exhibitors, and Cosplay
This event has a lot of amazing praise because of the cosplay. You can witness a fully paraded opening, and if you know your Star Wars, you can definitely tell which tune is playing. Merch booths, original artwork, and everything from collector items to indie game devs are displayed. You will spend a long time in just one stall and it will feel like a time vortex that has no explanation.
About Timing
If you can only go one day, make it Sunday. Saturday can be just as brilliant, but it gets really busy really quickly. If you want a little bit of breathing room along with the fun, Sunday is the way to go. Of course if your favorite guest is only appearing on Saturday, then ignore this advice and plan for Saturday.
