Banger Parade
Imagine you're there wearing a parade vest, the sun is setting over the Marina Bay, and bad smoke from the satay food stalls is mixing with the excitement of the impending parade. Suddenly the drums are playing, and full scale, real life, post apocalyptic, unquestionable war drums exist. Then, a giant LED dragon walks the parade and leaders start to march. The Chingay Parade is full of bold and complete stretchtents, the juxtapostitions of the pants, the streetart, and of ceiling sculptures of the 70's and 80's. Just when you think you're seeing everything, there are lights on the floats that can guide aircraft into landing and keep 5 ships at a safe distance from a giant oil rig. Believe it or not, this strange 90 minute joint parade of complete insanity will have you stunned, and almost make you forget it all within the 5 hour span.
Finishing Touch
Just when you see the best you've seen, the Chingay Parade 2028 unveils the final act. A fireworks finale in Marina Bay makes every fireworks show you've ever seen look pathetic. A sea of thousands of performers walks the parade ground with LED candles, the theme music surges, and suddenly you’re part of something much bigger. Even the toughest of adults may show their softer side and act as if they just have something in their eye. When in reality, they've just discovered the essence of joy.
