First things first. The oysters are clearly the showwinners. Since the 1940s, Knysna has been famous for its oyster farming in its lagoon. Among the multiple things that the oysters were plump and were of very high quality, they were of the Western Cape. They were not the rubbery things that you get to see in the wedding buffets. The festival can be event-less but it would still be worth it to go to Knysna. The town has a breathtaking lagoon with the famous Heads which are two cliffs that guard the estuary and it meets the Indian Ocean. The surrounding Garden Route is filled with forests and beaches.
