Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2028

Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2028

Dates taking place: March 2028 (Dates TBA)

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Some festivals are good, some are nice, and then there are those that give the illusion that the universe is on your side. Cape Town International Jazz Festival is certainly one of those. Africa's Grandest Gathering, established 22 years ago and runs as one of the most prominent Jazz Festivals alongside Montreux and Montreal, is a two night celebration of Jazz, Soul, and Funk. It truly makes you feel the brilliance of music. With the beauty of Cape Town and the impressive bouncer called Table Mountain, this is one festival you should you at all costs.

What Happens When You Arrive

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival takes place at The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) located in the city center. CTICC is the place where you can develop your own music festival for two days! With four different stages (Kippies, Manenberg, Rosies, and Moses Molelekwa) that host a wide range of music from different genres. These stages are all set up to host different styles of performances including full productions or more acoustic and intimate shows. The festival hosts more than 40 artists from South Africa and around the world. There is so much to see and hear covering all things jazz. The food and drink vendors allow you to relax while listening to music and donning a smart/casual fit. Grab a light jacket and create a fit that makes you feel good to combat the chill.

How Cape Town Contributes

Cap Town International Jazz Festival is more than just the music. It is truly a festival that offers a remarkable experience to all visitors. Late March in Cape Town marks the beginning of their Autumn season boasting long, warm days that seamlessly transition into blossoming evenings, and all the while the Cape Winelands await exploration just outside the city. This is a premier launching point from which to launch to explore the many beautiful sights of Cape Town including (but by no means limited to) the V&A Waterfront, the Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, Robben Island, Chapman's Peak, and a wine farm or seventeen. Visitors regularly build the event into a wider South African itinerary that includes safaris, coastal escapes, and everything in between.

A Festival of True Essence

Jazz is more than scripted notes on a staff. It is an exchange of ideas and spontaneous inspiration. The Cape Town International Jazz Festival has been known to understand this. The Festival Program includes more than headline shows. It includes all sorts of interactive workshops as well as industry panels. It integrates a diverse mix of local and international talent, giving a lasting impression long after the event has concluded. This Festival is known to provide a platform to artists from every region of the world, ensuring an enriching experience for all participants.

To Travel Agents, DMCs, and Corporate Incentive Planners

Let’s get to the point. The Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2028 is the type of event that requires little justification. Cape Town has many of the right ingredients: world-class hotels, top-notch air infrastructure, and a destination easy to sell to clients. Festival packages include many excellent day trip options, including Cape Winelands, the Peninsula, and even a Safari for those clients wanting a more in-depth South African experience. Corporate incentive clients love the premium ticket options and motivating glamour. DMCs will love the solid infrastructure and excellent support systems. You’ll want to book early, as accommodations at the CTICC have limited availability and no one wants to explain a forty minute commute.
