Sustainable Growth in Rural Morocco. One of the important components of developing strong and resilient societies is the investment in supporting the growth of rural areas. This can largely be achieved by improving education and providing key services. In Morocco, for example, many rural communities are underdeveloped in terms of the number of schools available, the quality of their infrastructure, as well as access to basic needs such as clean water and health services. These factors create long-term barriers to growth and development. In view of this, MidFar DMC Morocco has started a project that seeks to improve rural areas in the country. Desert Cleanup Excursion: Preserving Morocco’s Natural Beauty. Midfar DMC Morocco 's approach is focused on conserving the pristine nature of Morocco while allowing visitors to have enjoyment and opportunity to contribute in making an impact. Our Desert Cleanup Excursion is an outreach activity that aims to have an impact on the environment through through active participation and cooperation. Participants will take a trip into one of the desert regions such as the Agafay Desert with a Tour operator, and there they will engage in litter picking with the aim of restoring the natural environment. Provided with gloves, biodegradable bags and other necessary equipment, the attendees will assist in efforts to throw away waste and preserve the environment for the coming generations. As for the Desert Cleanup Tour, it is designed to: - Have participants receive a lecture delivered by a professional regarding the ecosystems of Morocco, and the adverse effects of desertification as well as the solutions. - For participants to take a guided stroll through the nature and learn to recognize some plant and animal species and appreciate the diversity in the desert context. - For interested participants to engage in a further team discussion where they’ll be allowed to air out some of the small ideas that they have in mind that reduce the effects that they have on the environment. Eco-Friendly Artisan Workshops: Reviving Traditions with a Sustainable Touch Midfar DMC Morocco strives to create impactful changes by building on sustainability while also recognizing and focusing on the locals’ cultural heritage. Our Eco-Friendly Artisan Workshops allow participants to learn customs that have been passed down through generations while also letting local master craftsmen teach them how to blend traditional skills with ecological practices. In these workshops, participants will work side by side with talented Moroccan craftsmen and women to create beautiful, functional items that are made of either recycled or renewable resources. This could involve making pottery, weaving rugs, or making jewelry, among other things. Participating in the workshops allows them to not only learn the task at hand but also understand the sustainable practices that have shaped Moroccan culture throughout history.
