A Race That Has Been Breaking Cyclists Since 1998
Legendary since its inception in 1998, this breathtaking event draws participants to one of Austria's beautiful alpine villages, Bad Goisern. With over 5 000 riders from 40+ countries, the people’s choice is a distance of 22 km; the extreme route is a challenge of > 210 km and more than 7000 m of climbing, Yes, seven THOUSAND metres of climbing. For most people, that number is a cue to put their feet up, relax, and grab a biscuit. Just after the extreme distance route, at 5 am, the commitment of these riders is awe inspiring, I'm all for the suffering but in the dark is a little crazy.
