Kufsteinerland Radmarathon 2026

Kufsteinerland Radmarathon 2026
Dates taking place: 23rd August 2026.
Location: Kufstein, Tyrol, Austria
Some cycling events are better left participated in than wondered if you'd been better off at home seating. This second option is perfectly illustrated by Kufsteinerland Radmarathon 2026. Located in the beautiful Tyrolean Alps in the historical fortress city of Kufstein, Austria, the event is celebrating a monumental milestone in 2026 worth announcing. It will have successfully completed ten years of events. Ten years of challenging climbs, breathtaking views of the mountains, and real euphoria at the finish line. This ten-year anniversary is shaping up to be the largest and most unforgettable event, and you'd be crazy to miss it.
Ten Years and Still Pedalling
Ten years may not be a milestone in most things, but achieving it in the cycling world is a big deal. Consider Kufsteinerland Radmarathon. If it weren’t so rapidly growing, it would have been titled a cycling classic. This event steadily grew in popularity to gran fondo, and it became a staple cycling event in Europeans cycling calendar. It was so popular, that the 2025 Kufsteinerland Radmarathon event was completely sold out! More than 1,500 entries were reached in under 35 countries in this event. It is less of an event and more of a fully constituted United Nations of cyclers.

Three Routes, No Excuses
The beauty of this event and its thoughtful planning is that it is not exclusive to the elite riders who, coil, eat altitude for breakfast. 2026 will see the introduction of three different routes for the event. The full marathon is the main attraction, providing 120 exhilarating Tyrolean km with a punishing 1,800 metre elevation gain with tough uphill stretches to Thiersee and climbs across the Brandenberg Valley. The Seenrunde is, however, just a bit more forgiving round, offering a scenic 95-kilometre Lakes Loop with 1,160 metres of elevation. And then there is the Panoramarunde, the least challenging route of 48 km with a brand new E-Bike category slated for 2026 with a distinct start time. Really, there is not sign of the not entering.
Weekend Activities
Race day is on Sunday, but we officially start on Friday, August 21, with the Aschinger Alm Gaudirace, a warm-up event that captures the spirit of the event with the friendliness and joy of the participants. The fun continues on Saturday with the Welcome Ride, led by a strong female cyclist, leaving from the Kultur Quartier in Kufstein. The presence of women at the event was a joy to see. The bike workshop in the afternoon is designed so that participants start the race confident in their ability to repair their bikes. The mass start at Oberer Stadtplatz on Sunday is one of those moments where you remember why you enjoy cycling in the first place.
Series Expansion
The Kufsteinerland Radmarathon 2026 is an addition to a new series called Tiroler Rennrad Cup, along with the Imster Radmarathon in May and the Arlberg Giro in the first week of August, giving riders more options to compete for a unified ranking. The Tyrolean cycling adventures start a week of fast cycling with the Kufstein challege and give riders the ability to chase the cup along with personal bests. If you are looking for epic views, next August is the perfect time to visit Kufstein.
For Travel Agents, DMCs and Incentive Planners
Let's get something straight. If you want people to remember a corporate incentive trip for years look no further than Kufstein in August. The Kufsteinerland Radmarathon weekend event combines world-class Alpine views, a fantastic atmosphere, and three routes for every type of cyclist. People of all skill levels will find a route that fits their abilities, and if they are not an avid cyclist yet, they will find their first cycling helmet just in time for this event. The characterful town of Kufstein is home to beautiful accommodations and fantastic food options, all wrapped in an impressive medieval fortress. The weekend event runs for three days, giving you an easy program to work with. However, be sure to plan with your local Tyrolean DMCs quickly, as this event is in high demand.
