New Madrid to Mauritius Route -

Omarjee Aviation has announced that Iberojet will operate a nonstop service between Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport in Spain and SSR International Airport in Mauritius from June 17, 2024. This once-weekly flight is scheduled to operate on Tuesdays — and it’ll rank among the quickest and most convenient ways to travel between these two beautiful countries.

The route will be flown with an Airbus A350-900, one of the most modern aircraft in the skies today. The planes usually leave Madrid on Monday nights, which means passengers land in Mauritius early Tuesday afternoon with plenty of time to get settled before starting their vacations — perfect for those looking to escape the rat race and find some peace and quiet after a long week or month.

New Madrid to Mauritius Route

The first flight of the 2024 summer season was welcomed at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU) with the traditional water arch by the Mauritius fire department.

Upon arrival, passengers on board the inaugural flight were treated to a performance of sega music and dance. Members of both the Mauritius tourism authority and national media were on hand for a small celebration.

This new flight opens up tons of possibilities: Whether you’re looking to camp out all day without moving an inch, explore every corner of this great country’s diverse ecosystem or immerse yourself in its melting-pot culture — now you can. Think about how unique Spanish culture is; now mix it with that extra bit of spice only found on Mauritius, then what do you get? A rich tapestry indeed.
