New TAP Route: Lisbon to Brazil
In a move that's sure to have travelers dancing with joy, TAP Air Portugal has launched a brand-new direct route connecting Lisbon with Florianópolis, the Brazilian paradise known for its endless beaches and captivating charm. Starting now, you can jet off to this South American gem with three weekly flights—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—aboard TAP's snazzy Airbus A330-200.
TAP President Luís Rodrigues can hardly contain himself about the new route. “We are very pleased that we can connect the two cities directly. It’s a match made in travel heaven: a historical city like Lisbon where decorum matters and avid relaxing in the sun at florianopolis. Are you kidding me You can have both a pastel de nata and an açai bowl on the same day?” Rodrigues laughed.
This new route is not intended only to connect two beautiful countries; it is also intended to see TAP consolidate its position as the main European airline for Brazilian passengers. With this last route addition, TAP now flies to an impressive 13 cities in Brazil. It’s like TAP making sure there’s always Portuguese cover for a Brazilian jamboree.
And if you thought that was the end of TAP’s South American escapade, think again! The airline is preparing to recommence services to Manaus by the end of this year. Quite evidently, TAP is availing flight services to city and jungle lovers, most especially the Brazilians and the Portuguese.
