Mid Autumn Festival Vietnam 2025 - 6th of October. This festival is always celebrated beween September and October and takes place on the Full Moon night of the 8th lunar month.
Tết Trung Thu/ Mid Autumn Festival, is a Full Moon Event. It is also known as the “Children's Festival”.
During this festival, children take center stage. Toys, paper lanterns, and masks are gifts to entertain them and for the parents to make up for working so hard during harvest season. There are lively lion dances and enchanting lantern processions.
Many families come together in their gardens. Here tea and sweets are served whilst everyone enjoys the radiant full moon and revelsin the performances of passing dance troupes holding lanterns and celebrating.

The full moon of this month presents an opportunity for parents to make amends and shower their children with love and attention. Hence, it is aptly named the Children's Festival. During the Full Moon festivities, offerings are made to the deities in gratitude for the bountiful harvest.
