In four-ball format, two-man teams have each player playing his own ball so that four balls are being played at each hole. The lowest score among their pair’s two counts for a hole, with the team whose player has a lower score winning it. If there is no winner determined by lowest scores both sides tie up even if they play against each other.

In foursomes format, two-player teams have one ball per hole with them taking turns at every shot till when an end occurs at each hole.Following alternate tee shots in which one leads off on odd-numbered holes while another does so first on even-numbered holes.Such side that posts lower totals on any given hole gets awarded with wins for such holes.During situations where both pairs ‘scores tie they share holes.

Singles matches involve individual players representing their respective teams fighting against each other. The lower scoring golfer per hole takes all spoils. If there isn’t any difference between scores then none of those who took part is declared
