Ohrid in Albania - The Jerusalem of the Balkans Ohrid in Albania - a stunning city, nestled in the heart of the Balkans, Ohrid, often referred to as "Jerusalem of the Balkans", is an enchanting blend of history, culture and natural beauty. Located on the serene banks of Lake Ohrid, this ancient city has a compelling charm that you can explore with Vas Event through their fascinating tour. A majestic wonder where past and present intertwine in a burst of vivid color and architectural marvels, Old Town Ohrid is. SKY express adds Hamburg and Tirana to schedule

SKY express adds Hamburg and Tirana to schedule If SKY express had a frequent flyer card for new routes, it would be dangerously close to a free upgrade by now. Greece’s fast-growing airline has announced two fresh international additions to its network, linking Athens to Hamburg and Heraklion to Tirana — because clearly, sitting still is not part of the plan. Athens–Hamburg: Guten Tag, Germany First up is Athens–Hamburg, which officially took off in December 2025. This becomes SKY express’ fifth German destination, joining Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Berlin — at this point, Germany is starting to feel like a second home. The route operates three times a week (Mondays, Fridays and Sundays), which is perfect for business travellers, city-break fans, and anyone who enjoys saying, “I’m flying direct” with confidence. Germany remains a key market for Greek tourism and trade, so this one makes a lot of sense — practical, popular, and long overdue. Flights are operated by SKY express’ modern Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, meaning quieter cabins, better fuel efficiency, and fewer reasons for the environment to side-eye your holiday plans. If you need help with your next event, incentive, meeting, conference or group to Germany, please contact us! Heraklion–Tirana: The Balkans Meet the Beach  Meanwhile, over on Crete, SKY express is strengthening its Balkan connections with a new year-round route between Heraklion and Tirana. Flying twice weekly on Tuesdays…

Finnair Expands in 2026

Finnair Expands in 2026: New Destinations, Lapland Magic, and Enough Routes to Make Your Google Maps Sweat  Finnair just announced its 2026 plans, and let’s just say… they did not come to play. They came to expand, explore, and sprinkle direct flights across Europe like confetti at a Scandinavian birthday party. With 12 brand-new European destinations and a glorious return of direct flights to Finnish Lapland from multiple major cities, Finnair is clearly in its “world domination, but make it polite” era. A Helsinki Summer That’s Basically a Flight Buffet From its Helsinki hub, Finnair will be rolling out a fresh batch of summer routes — and honestly, it’s starting to feel like they’re speedrunning a European bucket list: Kuressaare (Estonia) – For travellers who enjoy nature, culture, and the tiny thrill of saying “Kuressaare” correctly. Luxembourg – Small country, big personality. Stavanger (Norway) – Where business travellers and fjords coexist peacefully. Thessaloniki (Greece) – Northern Greece’s gateway to island hopping and tzatziki-fueled joy. Tirana (Albania) – Finnair’s first-ever stop in Albania. About time someone introduced the world to Albanian summer properly. Turin (Italy) – Perfect if you love skiing, chocolate, or pretending you’re in an Italian film. Umeå (Sweden) – Artsy, outdoorsy, and very, very Swedish. These join earlier announcements including Alta, Catania, Florence, Kos, and Valencia — because Finnair clearly wants your 2026 to b…

Now, thanks to Air Albania, getting there from Vienna is easier than finding a schnitzel the size of your face. Meanwhile, for Albanians heading to Vienna? It’s a chance to go full Sound of Music, overdose on cake, and finally figure out what opera is actually about. Win-win.
