Vardavar Festival

Vardavar, celebrated in mid-July, is an uncommon and most Armenian festival. It has its roots in pagan traditions which mark the transfiguration of Jesus Christ. This fun event is a symbol of cleansing and new beginnings that bring communities together for a day.

Dolma Festival

The Dolma Festival held annually in May in Hnaberd Town celebrates Armenia’s best loved dish. The grape leaves stuffed with meat, rice and spices called dolma take center stage. Tourists can engage in cooking competitions, traditional music and folk dances to get a taste of Armenia’s rich culinary history.
