Events in Aruba

Aruba’s most populous Caribbean island retains its cultural diversity and many fun-filled activities. Several of the festivals are heritage inspired and feature African, Dutch, and Caribbean elements. The annual Carnival festival is the most popular of them all, because of the elaborate parades, costumes and the music prevalent in the streets.

Whether on account of food or music, this bright and arresting island is never quiet. Beach parties, sailing regattas, and folk festivals such as the Dera Gai, bring longevity to heaven for the natives and as well the visitors.

We strive to highlight all the main events, but if there's an event you think should be featured, please let us know at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

We add events on a continuous basis. So if you want to stay informed of the latest information, please bookmark this page.

Additional Events Aruba

Dera Gai Festival

Dera Gai, the Feast of St. John the Baptist, is especially marked during this season, and like all things Aruban, it has its roots in agriculture and is colorful. Locals wear bright fancy dresses and dance round a mock-buried chicken with cheap music and loud processions. The day celebrates the time of planting and reaping good yields.

Aruba Carnival

From January to February, Carnival, which is regarded as one of the island’s fun-filled occasions, is fully celebrated in Aruba. For several weeks, the streets entertain cascading lavish costumes, musical instruments, and parades which finally ends with the Grand Parade. It’s a breathtaking eruption of culture, which every inhabitant and visitor embraces to the utmost.
