Botswana’s pure beauty and culture makes it great. The number of them may not be huge but each one is a unique celebration which encapsulates the richness of its traditions and history. In many places, festivals here feature traditional music, dance, and art, creating an atmosphere full of excitement.
One of the highlights is Maitisong Festival which is a cultural event that brings together local and international artists for a week long presentation. Another noteworthy festival is Dithubaruba Cultural Festival where visitors can enjoy Setswana traditional dance as well as music. Khawa Dune Challenge and Cultural Festival combines quad biking with cultural performances.

Makgadikgadi Pans Zebra Migration
The second largest zebra migration in the world happens every year in Botswana. These zebras travel across Makgadikgadi Pans looking for green grasslands from December to March. All nature lovers must see this wonder including photographers too.
Maitisong Festival
Every April, Gaborone hosts Maitisong Festival, the most important art fiesta in town. The program lasts for seven days with African music, ballet dances and other arts involved on stage during this period. Artists from all over Botswana including those from outside come together to celebrate Botswana's rich cultural heritage.
Dithubaruba Cultural Festival
The month of September sees Dithubaruba being held to commemorate Bakwena tribe’s history annually as they gather at Molepolole to do dances which are traditionally significant; songs; stories; crafts among others are also part of it This festival allows visitors to delve into the customs and past that belong to one of the nation’s respected tribes.
