Events in Costa Rica to plan for

Costa Rica is filled with stunning natural landscapes and interesting people. It has a number of activities which include a wide variety of the country’s biodiversity and the indigenous culture which appreciates life. From lively lunas to green events, engagement with nature and community appears to be the order of the day.

The highlight of the Fiestas de Palmares, which is the country’s largest party includes serenades, traditional bullfighting and parades. On the 15th of September, the parades on the day of Independence are also noteworthy, as there are a lot of school bands and dancing in the streets of people who are proud of their country.

Fiestas de Palmares

Every January, the Fiestas de Palmares takes place, being one of the largest celebrations in Costa Rica, probably for the love Costa Ricans hold over the event. For nearly two weeks, parades, concerts, traditional bullfights (where no bulls are hurt), and a variety of food and drinks are served – this festival is ethusiatic in every sense of the word. It’s a fun way of experiencing the culture of Costa Ricans and the people of the country.

Envision Festival

Every February, Envision Festival is held on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica with music, art, and ecological awareness all coming together in a distinct format. Located in the jungle around Uvita, this multi-day festival includes music performances, yoga classes, various workshops, and activities related to sustainability. This is an occasion that promotes community, the environment, as well as individual development against the canvas of stunning beaches and tropical surroundings.
