High-energy music, lively dances and spirited performances are some of the features of Kenyan festivals. Wildlife marathons, cultural festivals and agricultural shows dominate every season. The Nairobi International Trade Fair and Lamu Cultural Festival are among the most anticipated happenings.

Jamhuri (Independence) Day is Kenya's biggest celebration. It takes place on every 12th of December each year to commemorate the country’s independence from Britain in 1963. Parades, music concerts, fireworks displays and feasting characterize how Kenyans mark this day.
