The Maldives are a tropical paradise known for their lovely clear waters and beautiful coral reefs. The events here are, like the surroundings, vibrant and often centered around cultural celebrations and water-based activities. There is always something wonderfully unique to try out here, from traditional dances to thrilling water sports competitions.

One of these events is Maldivian Independence Day which is celebrated with colorful parades and traditional music. Another significant event is Fishermen’s Day that highlights different exhibitions and activities reflecting the country’s rich maritime heritage.

Independence day in Maldives falls on the 26th of July. This day commemorates when they gained independence from British colonialism in 1965.
