Nairobi is a city full of vibrancy and lively events. The cultural scene in Nairobi is always bustling with activity as you can attend music festivals or art exhibitions among others. This is because every occasion held in Nairobi has an aspect of traditional and modern influences which are blended together thereby making them outstanding in their own unique way.
There are traditional dances, live concerts, theater performances all year round. Street festivals and food fairs are also very common showcasing the richness of the Kenyan culture through food. Amongst the many celebrations that take place within this city, one could consider attending The Nairobi International Trade Fair where both local and international trades are exhibited.

During late January each year there comes an amazing cookery event named as such – Nairobi Restaurant Week! For 10 days long restaurants throughout the city offer specially curated menus at discounted prices; allowing food enthusiasts to try out different cuisines ranging from traditional Kenyan dishes right through international ones – thus making it an exciting experience not only for Kenyans but tourists too.
Nairobi International Book Fair
Every September sees literature lovers flocking into town during what has now become known far and wide as “The Nairobi International Book Fair”. This gathering draws writers, publishers readers worldwide who come together share ideas learn from one another about various publications available globally. In fact there will be book launches readings workshops all geared towards promoting literacy levels amongst people regardless their age groups.
