Events in Panama
The diversity of Panama reflects in the events that are celebrated there. Because of its lively music festivals and events commemorating the past, there is never a dull moment there. There is a special term for them- Tropic of energy, Tropical and urban structures alike become electrifying during national celebrations and cultural events.
It is the most awaited time of the year and people of Panama come together to celebrate the annual Carnival; The combination of processions, dancing, and music ensures that they are not disappointed. Religious events such as the Fiesta del Cristo Negro attract large numbers of people, offering both reverence and enjoyment.

Carnaval de Panamá
This carnival is held for many days right before Ash Wednesday, and it is surely one of the largest, of the biggest and the most beautiful in the country. This colourful festivity involves dances, songs, processions, floats and heroical dresses. Water fights, street parties, firework – people from all corners of the country plus tourists joined the festivities in the grand finale.
Fiestas Patrias
Panama observes its Fiestas Patrias in November month to commemorate its independence from both Colombia and Spain. These celebrations take the shape of holidays with national parades, flag-raising, and other festivities especially on November 3rd and 28th. There is a lot of singing and performing, members from schools, bands and military groups adding to the display of loyalty to the country. It’s a period when the world showcases its heritage and traditions.
