Every April 27th, the Netherlands explodes into orange madness for King's Day. This national holiday commemorates the birth of King Willem-Alexander. From vibrant street sales and boat competitions to musical concerts and city-wide bashes, the entire nation is in a celebration mode.

Sinterklaas

In early December, people in the Netherlands observe Sinterklaas; a popular Dutch tradition that predates Christmas. On December 5th night, kids wait anxiously for Sinterklaas together with his assistants who bring gifts and candies.
