Among the Lozi people, the Kuomboka ceremony is a distinctive event where their king is transferred from flooded grounds to higher places. Beautifully decorated canoes and rhythmic drumming are features of this event that attract tourists from all over the world. Another popular occasion is the Nc’wala Festival which is not only done in honor of first harvests but also marks beginning of every year through traditional rituals, feasting and dancing.

Every April at Livingstone Cultural & Arts Festival takes place in living stone town near Victoria Falls. This festival showcases various cultures within Zambia through traditional dances, musical performances as well as art exhibitions. Lwiindi Gonde Ceremony

At Monze District towards end of June each year (or July), Lwiindi Gonde Ceremony brings Tonga culture back to life again. After praying, they begin singing followed by dancing and storytelling during this ceremony that signifies gratitude for new rains and fruits. The community congregates at Gonde which happens to be a holy place where they worship their ancestors for blessings.
