Sink Into Bliss at the Dead Sea
Sink Into Bliss at the Dead Sea
Imagine a place so low, even your worst decisions don’t feel quite as bad. Welcome to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, where gravity gives you a break, and you can float like a majestic jellyfish on a sea of salts, minerals, and, let’s be real, all the stuff that’s too salty for most other bodies of water. Located over 400 meters (1,312 feet) below sea level, it’s the ultimate spa day, minus the overpriced cucumber water.

The Magic of Floating
In the Dead Sea, there’s absolutely no effort or struggle needed to float, the water density is unbelievable. It wouldn’t be surprising if one could do the backstroke while holding a margarita. The water is such that it does not matter if one is the worst or best swimmer, or whether they can swim at all. Like a cork placed in water, you will float while your body absorbs the heavenly ingredients the sea has to offer. If floaty hashtags are your type, then this is the perfect chance to get a snap for Instagram with a caption that talks about float goals since it is a place which yells ‘ I am on a holiday and you are not’.
A Salty Cocktail (And We Mean That in the Best Way)
The Dead Sea is the best natural beauty mask. It is as if God was in the mood to celebrate and invited every salty river, including the Jordan River, so that together they can create a scrumptious mix of salts and minerals. And they are not just any ordinary salts, but ones that can make your skin feel as if it has been polished with car wax.
It is more than just a swim — it’s a skincare treatment, a mud bath and natural beauty mask all put together. You can mud pack yourself and lie down happily while the salt sea does the work of restoring the beauty of your skin.
Return to Reality (Sort Of)
After a day of floating like a pro and marinating in the world’s most exclusive spa treatment, you’ll head back to your hotel in Amman for an overnight stay. You’ll leave the Dead Sea feeling like a human version of a spa day, with skin so soft you’ll wonder if you’ve been replaced with a silk pillowcase. And while you may have left the world’s lowest point physically, emotionally, you’ll be floating just a little higher than you were before. So, pack your swimsuit and your sense of humor — the Dead Sea awaits!
So come Sink Into Bliss at the Dead Sea!

Al-Balad is the downtown area of Jordan's capital city, Amman. It is also the oldest part of the city and dates back thousands of years. Did you know that It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world? Amman was built over ancient ruins and archeologists think that in ancient times it was right near to the now mostly-dry Amman River.
In 1994 there was an excavation project, during which homes and towers were uncovered, believed to have been built around 7000 BC, during the Stone Age. New archaeological excavations are ongoing in 2020.
There are a large number of historical sites in old Amman: Amman Citadel with the Umayyad Palace, the Hashemite Plaza with the Roman Theatre and the Odeon, and the Roman Nymphaeum.
