Lithuania Joins The Michelin Guide: A Culinary Adventure Begins -

Exciting news alert! Lithuania is now officially a part of The MICHELIN Guide family, joining its Baltic neighbors Estonia and Latvia in the gourmet spotlight. Can we get a round of applause for this culinary milestone?

The Michelin Inspectors have been on a delicious adventure across Lithuania, hunting down the crème de la crème of dining experiences. From the charming port city of Klaipėda, where historic wood-framed buildings line the streets, to the picturesque town of Trakai, home to the breathtaking Trakai Island Castle on Lake Galvė, they've left no stone unturned in their quest for culinary excellence.

And let's not forget Kaunas, with its medieval fortress and impressive Modernist architecture (UNESCO-approved, no less!), and the enchanting capital city of Vilnius, where Gothic, Renaissance, Classical, and Baroque styles collide in a stunning architectural medley.

Throughout their journey, these Inspectors have savoured a delightful array of dishes, from traditional Lithuanian fare to dishes with French, Italian, and Indian influences. Whether it's a simple yet mouthwatering bagel from the market or an elaborate tasting menu showcasing the finest local ingredients, they've been wowed at every turn.

Now, mark your calendars for June 13th, 2024, because that's when there will  be an unveiling the very first Lithuanian restaurant selection of The MICHELIN Guide at a special event in Vilnius. It's going to be a gastronomic celebration like no other!

Finnair Expands Its Horizons: New Routes and Increased Frequencies for Winter 2024 and Summer 2025

Exciting news for travellers! Finnair has just unveiled its updated traffic program for Winter 2024 and Summer 2025, and it's packed with new routes and increased frequencies to some fantastic destinations. New routes include Japan, Latvia, Dallas USA, Estonia, Lithuania, Finland and Norway.

Japan Takes Center Stage

In Summer 2025, Finnair is ramping up its services to Japan, adding more weekly frequencies to Tokyo Narita. This means daily flights to both Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita will be available, offering travellers even more flexibility and options to explore this beautiful country. But that's not all - Nagoya will also benefit from a third weekly frequency, making it easier than ever to discover the wonders of this diverse nation.

Discover Kirkenes, Norway

Finnair is also spreading its wings to Northern Norway with a brand-new destination - the charming town of Kirkenes. Starting in the Summer 2025 season, Finnair will fly to Kirkenes from Helsinki via Ivalo three times a week, using a 68-seater ATR aircraft. This new route is perfect for Finnish and international travelers looking to explore the enchanting landscapes of Finnish Lapland and Northern Norway. Plus, it offers a fantastic opportunity to experience the famous Hurtigruten cruise that sails to and from Kirkenes.

“We are delighted to introduce a destination that further strengthens our already extensive network in the Arctic region. The new route enables a smooth connection for customers traveling up to Northern Norway, making it fast and easy to reach the destination from Helsinki,” 

Baltic Boost

In addition to the exciting new routes, Finnair is also increasing its frequencies to the Baltic capitals. Tallinn and Riga will each get an extra five weekly frequencies, while Vilnius will see an additional two, making it even easier to explore these vibrant and historic cities.

Dallas Gets a Winter Warm-Up

For Winter 2024, Finnair is adding frequencies to its Dallas route, making it a year-round daily service. Finnair’s Dallas flights offer seamless connections to American Airlines’ extensive network out of their Dallas hub, making it a convenient choice for travelers heading to the USA.
