United Kingdom Incentive Travel: You've Done the City Break. Now Do the Kingdom

United Kingdom Incentive Travel: You've Done the City Break. Now Do the Kingdom Why Your Top Performers Deserve a Private Highland Whisky Feast in a Floodlit Scottish Castle You've Done the City Break. Now Do the Kingdom. Let's cut to it. If your last incentive trip involved a rooftop bar that looked suspiciously like every other rooftop bar, your top performers deserve better. They deserve history. Drama. A setting so cinematically spectacular that the group chat practically writes itself. Welcome to the United Kingdom — where the backdrop is ancient, the experiences are extraordinary, and the dramatics are entirely justified. The United Kingdom: The Incentive Travel Destination That Has It All (Literally) Incentive travel in the United Kingdom is a masterclass in contrast. In a single programme, you can move from the electric energy of London's financial heartland to the misty, cinematic grandeur of the Scottish Highlands — and still make dinner. Four nations, thousands of years of history, world-class hospitality infrastructure, and a culture that practically invented the concept of doing things with quiet, devastating flair. And when you partner with the right Dest…

Is This the Only Airport Where Planes Land on the Beach?

Is This the Only Airport Where Planes Land on the Beach? Most airports have long runways, flashing lights, and that slightly stressful “final boarding call” energy. But in Barra, Scotland, your plane lands… on sand. Yes. Actual beach sand. Welcome to Barra Airport, officially the only airport in the world where scheduled commercial flights land directly on a tidal beach. And the best part? You can fly there from Glasgow. That’s right. One minute you’re in Scotland’s biggest city grabbing coffee at the airport… the next you’re touching down on a beach like you accidentally booked a role in a travel documentary. Check the Tide Before You Fly Here’s the twist: the runway disappears twice a day. Because it’s a beach. Flights from Glasgow to Barra operate according to the tide timetable. High tide? No runway. No landing. The ocean wins. Imagine missing your flight and the airline casually saying, “Sorry, the sea is using the runway right now.” It’s probably the only airport where marine life technically has right of way. If you need help with your next event, incentive, meeting, conference or group to Scotland, please contact us! The Most Scenic Touchdown Ever When…

British Airways Adds Three New Routes for Summer 2026

British Airways Adds Three New Routes for Summer 2026 — Get Your Sunglasses Ready If your 2026 summer plans already involve escaping the British “sun” (a.k.a. that one warm Tuesday in June), British Airways has just delivered some excellent news: the airline is dropping three brand-new leisure routes into its network like holiday confetti. Say hello to Toulon Saint-Tropez, Olbia, and San Sebastián — or as travellers know them: “the French Riviera without the traffic,” “Sardinia but classy,” and “the Basque city that turns you into a full-time foodie.” The new flights are officially bookable, bringing British Airways' European playground to nearly 30 destinations. In other words, your summer excuse list just got longer. ‘Three fantastic new routes’ (BA’s words, not ours — but they’re not wrong) Managing Director Ian Romanis says the airline is thrilled to expand the network with “three fantastic new routes.” And honestly? He’s got a point. Whether you want beaches, bouillabaisse, or Basque pintxos, there’s something for your inner holiday snob. Let’s break down the new sunshine escapes: London City → Toulon Saint-Tropez 23 May – 1 September 2026 | Tuesdays & Satur…

UK Goes Full ETA in February 2026

UK Goes Full ETA in February 2026 - “No permission, no travel” If you thought you could wing it to London without pre-approval, think again. The UK is cranking up its border tech: starting February 25, 2026, an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) will be mandatory for all visa-exempt travelers. That means no ETA, no plane, no Big Ben selfies. Why the Fuss About ETAs? Since October 2023, travelers from 85 countries — including the U.S., Canada, and France — have been able to apply for an ETA, but with a grace period in place. Basically, think of it as a “test drive” while the UK eased everyone into digital immigration. By February 2026, the gloves are off. Airlines will now check your ETA before you even board, so there’s no sneaking past the system. According to the UK government, over 13.3 million ETAs have already been processed, making passport control “faster and smoother” — especially for those connecting flights who’d rather not play musical chairs with their luggage at Heathrow. Mike Tapp, the UK Minister for Migration and Citizenship, put it simply: ETAs aren’t just bureaucracy for fun. They help authorities stop troublemakers at the gate while letting law-abiding t…

UK visa and settlement rules changes

UK visa and settlement rules changes: Harder, Longer, and (Apparently) Fairer If you thought British bureaucracy couldn’t get any more “fun,” the UK government has just released a new white paper called “Restoring Control Over the Immigration System.” Spoiler alert: it’s basically a list of ways to make it harder to move to, work in, or stay in the UK — all in the name of cutting net migration. Released on 12 May 2025, the document outlines the government’s grand plan to make Britain’s borders a little tighter, its UK visa system a little tougher, and its paperwork pile a little taller. But before you panic — a white paper isn’t law yet. It’s more like a political “wish list” of what the government hopes to do. Some of the ideas have already been rolled out; others are still gathering dust in the “maybe later” pile. The Greatest Hits: What’s Actually Changing Out of all the policy talk, eight proposals stood out (or at least came with numbers). Here’s the highlight reel: Goodbye, medium-skilled jobs – Employers will no longer be able to easily sponsor workers for jobs classed as “medium-skilled” (think RQF levels 3–5) unless the Migration Advisory Committee gives a thumbs-u…

airBaltic Expands Summer 2026 Schedule

airBaltic Expands Summer 2026 Schedule Get ready, travel lovers — airBaltic is once again proving that the sky’s the limit. While other airlines are trimming routes faster than you can say “budget cuts,” Latvia’s national carrier is doing the opposite — adding new destinations, more flights, and a touch of Baltic flair to your 2026 summer plans. Riga, it seems, is ready to be Europe’s next connection hub — and airBaltic is the one handing out the boarding passes. New Routes, Who This? airBaltic’s summer 2026 schedule is looking more like a European bucket list than a flight roster. The airline is introducing new routes to Kaunas (Lithuania), Oulu (Finland), and Antalya (Turkey) — the latter graduating from a mere charter service to a full-fledged, scheduled route. So, if you’ve been dreaming of swapping your office chair for a Turkish sun lounger, this is your sign. But that’s not all. airBaltic is also relaunching flights to some fan-favourite cities: Aberdeen, Belgrade, and Yerevan are back on the map — literally. It’s like the reunion tour you didn’t know you needed, just with more in-flight snacks and fewer encore requests. If you need help with your next event, incentive…

Norwegian release Summer 2026 Schedule Norwegian has just dropped its summer 2026 schedule, and let’s just say - it’s packed. We’re talking over 300 routes to more than 120 destinations across Europe, running from March through October. Translation: if you can’t find a holiday spot in this line-up, you’re probably not trying hard enough. Britain, Meet Scandinavia (Again) Norwegian clearly has a soft spot for the UK, because they’ve gone all-in on expanding routes from London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Newcastle straight to the Nordic capitals. Think of it as a conveyor belt of fjords, saunas, cinnamon buns, and ABBA tunes. Here’s a quick look at where you can jet off to: From London Gatwick: Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Ålesund, plus Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Billund, and Helsinki. Basically, the entire Scandinavian starter pack. From Manchester: Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. Plenty of Viking-approved getaways without breaking the bank. From Edinburgh: Oslo, Bergen, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. Ideal if you’re swapping whisky for aquavit. From Newcastle: Copenhagen—because even Geordies deserve some hygge. If you need help with you…

From late March to late October, airBaltic wants to be your one-stop shop for summer escapism. Riga: The Launchpad of Dreams The Latvian capital is already a solid gateway, but now it’s getting even busier. New connections from Riga will include Kaunas Lithuania, Oulu Finland, and Antalya Turkey (hello, beach loungers). On top of that, Riga is welcoming back some old flames - Aberdeen Scotland, Belgrade Serbia, and Yerevan Armenia are returning to the network, ready for their reunion tour. Tallinn Steps Into the Spotlight Estonia’s capital is no longer content being the quiet Baltic sibling - it’s getting bold with new direct flights to Athens, Hamburg, and Vienna. That means Tallinn residents can now hop from medieval cob…
