Australian Immi App Now Available in 47 Countries

Australian Immi App Now Available in 47 Countries Australia's Department of Home Affairs has expanded the reach of its Australian Immi App to 47 countries, following the addition of 13 new countries on March 24, 2026. It's a quiet but practical development for certain visa applicants who previously had no option but to visit a physical collection centre. What the App Does — and Doesn't Do The Australian Immi App isn't a general visa application tool. It's a biometric collection method — one part of a broader visa process — and it's only relevant to applicants who've been specifically invited to use it. If you've received a "Requirement to provide personal identifiers" letter from the Department of Home Affairs, and that letter includes a Visa Lodgement Number beginning with AUI, you may be eligible to complete your biometric submission through the app rather than attending an Australian Biometrics Collection Centre in person. The process itself is straightforward: scan your passport's identity page, read the electronic chip if your passport has one, and take a live photo of yourself. The app transmits that information directly to the Department of Home Affairs and, according to the department, does not retain the data after sending. Your ImmiAccount should reflect the update within 24 hours. If your VLN doesn't begin with AUI, the app isn't an option — you'll still need to attend an ABCC in person. If you need help with your next event, incentive, meeting, conference or group to Australia, please contact us! The 13 New Countries The March 2026 expansion added Albania, Bhutan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Ghana, Lesotho, Nepal, Somalia (for third-country nationals), Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
