Ever wondered what it feels like to be a time-traveling adventurer with a VIP pass to the ancient world? Well, buckle up your explorer hat and grab your sunscreen because Cairo is about to whisk you away on a whirlwind journey through history, and it’s going to be epic.
Unlock the Secrets of the City of Cairo
Pyramids of Giza – the pinnacle of ancient civilization real estate: Begin your day by visiting the Giza Pyramids because which person would love not visiting the world’s oldest, and probably the most intriguing piece of real estate ever I mean doesn't want to check out the world’s oldest real estate. A critical examination of these massive constructions at trying to assess exactly how they were assembled without a single IKEA instructions manual is commended, and Sphinx- picture taking is encouraged—relax, he wouldn’t bite.
Egyptian Museum: See all the Things Including the Gold Mummy: When done, next up, it is time to face the Egyptian Museum, where treasures that would leave any Pharaoh turning in his grave spread out right in front of you. There are many other astonishing treasures from the golden Tutankhamun masks to mummies that look like they just got out of bed it is an eye candy and a survival guide to the lavish splendor of ancient Egypt.
Khan El Khalili Bazaar: The Shopping Experience of a Lifetime (Well for Us – Maybe Not For Our Credit Card): And after all this history, comes the time to do some shopping as they like to call it. Proceed to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, which is Egyptian’s active market where if you do not enjoy haggling then you better learn how to love it. Everything from spices that would put your grandma's cooking to shame to your favorite vacation souvenirs which will make you the hit of the dinner.
How to Enjoy Cairo to the Max
Hydrate Like a Pharaoh: It’s hot out there, so keep water close and stay hydrated. You wouldn’t want to be the one who got a sunburn in the land of eternal sunshine.
Dress for the Occasion: Trainers are essential since you will have to do a lot of walking, maybe some dancing as well if the rhythm works for you at the bazaar. No comments about the sunburnt dome, so get a hat as well.
Camera Ready: And don’t forget to bring your camera or smartphone, ’cause you’ll definitely want to take a few pictures. The pyramids, the treasures – even the crazy bazaar are worth photographing!
Get Ready to Haggle: Go ahead and haggle. I know it’s a pity, but this has to be done when you go to the bazaar. Better than being on stage performing, because instead of keg stands you’ll chop off the ears of the negotiation!
