La Mercè Festival

Every September, La Mercè takes over Barcelona as the city’s biggest street festival is known as. Celebrated in honor of the city’s patron saint, the week-long festivities feature playing bands, street parades, and traditional Catalan shows such as the castells and the correfoc.
