History of the bagels in New York

There are some ongoing discussions on when the first bagels entered the scene in New York, but it was around the late 19th century.  The bagel became more and more popular in Manhattan's Lower East Side. The bagels were brought to New York by Jewish immigrants from Poland, where it had been made for centuries.

The most popular bagels in the USA are blueberry ones and cinnamon raisin.
