Expanded Airline Routes Boost Global Travel

Airlines around the world have heard our cries for more travel options (and fewer layovers), and they’re answering in a big way. Starting this December, Air France, Turkish Airlines, and Royal Air Maroc are rolling out shiny new routes like they’re showing off their latest toys. Whether you want to bask in the sun of Brazil, wander the streets of Santiago, or explore Toronto’s... err... chilly charms, these airlines have got you covered. So, get ready to rack up those frequent flyer miles because the skies are about to get a whole lot busier—just in time for your next vacation excuse!

Let's break down the highlights of what's coming, shall we?

Air France Takes Brazil by Storm (or by Plane, Actually)

Kicking off the winter season, Air France is spreading its wings and heading to Salvador, Brazil—a city packed with Afro-Brazilian culture, Portuguese colonial charm, and enough beach resorts to make your Instagram followers jealous. Starting October 28, 2024, they’ll offer three weekly flights from Paris to Salvador. If you're more of a "Frequent Fortaleza Flyer," don't worry, they're also upping their flights to Fortaleza from three to five times a week. So whether you’re after samba rhythms or sun-soaked beach vibes, Air France has your Brazilian adventure covered. And, bonus, you can now connect to over 40 destinations within Brazil thanks to their partnership with GOL.

Highlights:
  • New Route: Paris to Salvador, 3 times weekly starting October 28, 2024.
  • Fortaleza Flights: Now up to 5 times weekly.
  • Explore Brazil: Direct connections to 5 Brazilian cities with up to 30 flights per week.
Turkish Airlines: Now Serving Santiago with a Side of São Paulo

If you’ve always wanted to stroll through Santiago, Chile’s colorful streets, now you can do it in style—and with a Turkish Airlines ticket! Starting December 18, 2024, Turkish Airlines will whisk you from Istanbul to Santiago with a cheeky stopover in São Paulo. Yep, that's right—two iconic cities for the price of one ticket! With Santiago being their ninth Latin American city, Turkish Airlines is officially on a South American spree. They're clearly onto something with their strategic pit stop in São Paulo, maximizing flight routes like a boss.

Highlights:
  • New Route: Istanbul to Santiago via São Paulo, 4 times weekly from December 18, 2024.
  • Latin American Love: Santiago joins Turkish Airlines’ growing list of Latin American destinations.
  • Double Dip: Two amazing cities in one flight? Yes, please.
Royal Air Maroc Goes Big with Toronto—Maple Syrup, Here We Come!

Royal Air Maroc is ready to cozy up with Canada by launching a direct service between Casablanca and Toronto starting December 8, 2024. This is their second Canadian destination after Montreal, because apparently, the Moroccan-Canadian bond is getting stronger by the minute. Whether you’re reconnecting with long-lost Moroccan relatives in Ontario or simply chasing some winter sun, this route will be your new go-to. With Boeing 787-8 aircraft doing the heavy lifting, you'll be gliding across the Atlantic in comfort—hopefully, with a snack cart that’s well-stocked.

Highlights:
  • New Route: Casablanca to Toronto, 3 times weekly starting December 8, 2024.
  • More North America: Royal Air Maroc’s expanding empire now includes NYC, DC, Montreal, and Toronto.
What Does This Mean for You, the Traveller?

More direct flights = less time spent trying to nap on uncomfortable airport seats! Whether you're after Salvador's vibrant culture, Santiago's Andean views, or the sights of Toronto, it's time to dust off that passport and pack your bags. With these new routes, your dream vacation is closer (and quicker) than ever!
